Preventive examinations
Skin cancer screening:

Check-up examinations:
The check-up examinations are intended for all insured persons aged 18 and over. From the age of 35, they are carried out every three years, and even every two years as part of the family doctor-centered care (HZV). These comprehensive health checks provide an assessment of various health parameters and serve to detect possible risk factors at an early stage.
Cancer prevention:
Cancer screening includes various measures for the early detection of cancer. These include tests for blood in the stool as a screening for colon cancer and examinations as part of prostate cancer screening. Early diagnosis enables effective treatment and improves the prospects of a successful recovery.

Examination for abdominal aortic aneurysms

General practitioner-centered care for those with statutory health insurance (HzV):
All major health insurance companies support "family doctor-centered care" (HzV). A family doctor should be the primary contact for all health concerns and refer you to a specialist if necessary ("pilot function"). Exceptions are emergency situations, visits to the ophthalmologist, gynecologist or dentist. You can have the check-up every 2 instead of 3 years, and more laboratory values are permitted. There is also an advantage when applying for rehabilitation treatment.
The health insurance companies save money with this system because the patient agrees not to visit another GP at the same time. The GP has a better overview of his patients because, for example, he should always receive up-to-date reports from the specialist partners through the referral system.
The HzV program is free of charge for every patient.
Individual health services (IGeL)
In accordance with our obligation, we would like to inform you about individual health services (IGeL). IGeL include medical examinations and services that go beyond the scope of services provided by statutory health insurance companies. Examples of these are travel vaccinations, issuing medical certificates or certain ultrasound examinations.
In our practice, in addition to the usual general medical and internal medicine services, we also offer specialist examinations, such as cardiac ultrasound and ultrasound of the carotid arteries. These special services are not reimbursed by statutory health insurance in a general practice. As a rule, we therefore refer you to a specialist. Alternatively, we can carry out these examinations in our practice on a self-pay basis. The advantage: the findings remain in one hand and you do not have to wait as long for an appointment with a specialist.
